That's All Folks!

Put simply, it's time to call it a day so far as monitoring the continued shenanigans and unhinged rhetoric of Mike Vinson's iswasandwillbe (IWWB) cult. That goes for this blog, the YouTube page, the Tumblr account and the SoundCloud page.

I have, as of today, disabled the rarely used Twitter account, along with my "Vike-Minson" FaceBook page. The FB page was a heck of a lot of fun along with being highly informative and eye-opening for me. I received countless messages and posts regarding the tactics of Mike and his IWWB cronies and many were able to help me see that Mike's foolish doctrines were simply re-fried and re-packaged versions of Herbert W. Armstrong / WWCoG teachings.

FB also gave me the rather unpleasant experience of seeing those who I thought were friends, behave exactly like Mike Vinson when I began to question the very bible itself. These people were also shunned by Mike and decried his doctrines but in a good many ways, behaved in precisely the same way when confronted with questioning over their own deeply held beliefs, especially the core fundamentalist mantra that is biblical inerrancy. Very sad.

Anyway, I have to be honest and say that I have been truly amazed at the amount that has come to the fore since I left the group and began to expose it, around 4 and a half years ago. I literally had no idea of many of the doctrines that lay lurking beneath the surface of this group and in addition, I've also learned a lot myself in that time, coming to understand matters pertaining to history, science and scholarship in far more detail.

While I won't be making future posts, I will still receive notifications of comments, which are approved by myself first, before they are posted, and of course, I will respond to any such comments.

I am confident that the sheer amount of information I have put out about this group will enable any serious truth-seeker to take a serious "second look" before they join themselves to Mike's sad fundamentalist sideshow. When I became involved, there simply wasn't any disclosure about the practices or true doctrines of this group. For anybody now to willingly join themselves to this group, is nothing short of personal negligence and abject stupidity.

Alas, there are good many people who fall into such a stereotype, so unfortunately, Mike's little band of hate-filled lemmings will continue to exist. But for me, I'm happy that I've done all I can and it's now time to focus my attention and energies elsewhere. I've looked out for my fellow man and have not hesitated to put this spiritual charlatan on blast for anybody with half a clue to take note of.

Bon Voyage!

PS - Here are some of the pics from my now defunct Vike Minson FB page. You may get a laugh out of these, or two...

IWWB's principal nut-sack and chief Pharisee, Mitch Kuhn, posted a pic of himself dirt-biking! Strange that, seeing as he has gone out of his way to tell everyone that a back-injury is his "thorn in the flesh." It must be a miracle - halleluljah?!

Various Jesus meme's that highlight how ludicrous IWWB's doctrines really are. Enough said!

Father Mike's former spiritual "father" - Herbert W. Armstrong of World-Wide Church of God fame. Like father, like son; you know it.

The infamous Moravian seal, which IWWB used in their promotional material. When confronted about using the seal of another church, and which has obvious Catholic overtones, father Mike did his level best to downplay the entire thing and discredited himself as being "easily en-treatable." See HERE for a full blow-by-blow.

A screen-grab of father Mike touching his nose right after he boldly declared something. Nose-touching (and ear, or face) is a well-documented sign of deceitful body-language. It infers that the person is either making misleading statements, or that they don't really believe what they are saying.
Here are a few of the tweets I put up on the now defunct Vike Twitter page:
These were all said from the perspective of the "Vike" character and reveal the foolishness of Mike's biblical positions and doctrines:

  1. Thanks for all the info you've given concerning the group "IWWB" and "Mike Vinson." This blog is a treasure trove of information that anyone needs to read if they are considering to join this group. You have went to great detail to prove your points with lots of links and audio. I myself would have had to put MANY MANY hours into this project to do what you have done. I thank you for your efforts and commend you for nailing down this group for the cult it really is. I was once involved with IWWB as well, and dismissed from the group as nothing but a babe because I didn't agree with it's teachings so please don't take this blog down or remove any of the youtube material because there will be others that will need to read this a s well. Yes, there will be others that will be dismissed just as we were.

Thanks again for all the time and work you've put into this.

    1. Hi Billy, thanks for the lengthy comment here.

Believe me, I have no intention of removing this blog, the YouTube page or any of the other links I mentioned above. It is important I believe, to warn our fellow man when we experience something that is dangerous and damaging. Mike's group used to be a simple gathering of like-minded souls, with never any hierarchy, or for example, telling people who was no longer "part of the body of Christ."

There has been a recent implosion at IWWB, with several people either being removed, or having left of their own accord. It all had to do with some people saying they weren't following Mike and Mitch but Christ. Quite unbelievable really but not unexpected when you have Mike behaving the way he does and honestly believing he is the mouthpiece of god.

  2. Those twitter comments are hilarious! Sums up this guy pretty well. He seems like another world-wide crazy on the loose looking for a following

    1. Hi thanks for the comment. Yeah, Vinson is most definitely another "world-wide crazy" looking for a following. He spent his formative years under the tutelage of Herbert W. Armstrong (he admits this on his webpage) and as his group grew, he began to revert back to his world-wide spiritual heritage, namely by insisting that birthdays, wedding anniversaries etc. were of the devil and not the mark of a true disciple.

He has embraced many other aspects of legalism, particularly Matthew 18 but also many, many others. There was a time when they began pushing for wages for elders (direct quote: "you give em money" and "keep the coffers full") and recently, there has been an overt doctrine that one cannot commune with God/Christ on their own, but must do so only via the architectural structure of "Christ's Christ" which is IWWB.

Observing the evolution of this group has been quite an eye opener.

The initial wave of disciples Mike attracted (myself included) weren't as simple-minded as the newer crop of Mike-ites. These poor people seem to be totally brain-washed and skull-fucked in terms of Christian fundamentalism. I hold out very little hope for them, collectively.

  3. I became aware of Mike and his group in 2006. I watched them closely from a distance for a good while. I have to admit that I was intrigued at first. After about a year of this I made my brother aware of this group. This turned out to be something that I profoundly regret. He became involved with them and still is a loyal disciple of Mike to this day. Shortly after my brother became involved I backed off because of some of Mike's teachings. I discussed these with my brother but to no avail. I was just ridiculed by him and others. Anyway, I feel a sense of responsibility and regret for making my my brother aware of this group. I can see how Mike has become a dangerous man. He has several spiritual prisoners and my brother is one of them. I check in to his site from time to time to see what is going on. I have heard Mike refer to people that have left the group as having 'fallen from grace'. Turns out that Mike is no different than any other that professes to preach and teach the 'truth'; everyone seems to have their own version of it. A little leaven leavens the whole lump.

    1. Hi, thanks for reaching out and I'm sorry to hear about your family member becoming involved with Mike's group. However, you were wise to hold off at the start. Intuition perhaps?

Yes, sadly there is little to be gained by trying to reason with either Mike, Mitch or anyone caught in their web of lies. They just refuse to see common sense and all logic is literally thrown out the window.

Mike likes to say he is "easily entreat-able" however his own sons tried to reason with him live on a bible study. How do you think that went down? Mike ended up blowing up at them, and Mitch referred to Mike's older son Wayne as a "heretic" over the matter of whether birthdays and wedding anniversaries are permissible. True story.

At the end of the "discussion" Mike put his foot in it and stated that the way to establish doctrine is to run it by him and his elders. Whatever they say (apparently) is the final word on the matter. Seriously, I kid you not.

Re what Mike says of people who have left the group, well he stated his own kids were "not part of the body of Christ anymore" because they refused to get involved. Recently, Mike and Mitch expunged several people from the fellowship when it was revealed that these people believed they could follow Christ apart from IWWB. Mitch labelled these people dogs, swine and lepers.

Thanks again for reaching out. I wish you all the best in dealing with your brother. You can direct him to my YouTube channel perhaps? Mike has said so many incriminating things over the years, I don't honestly know how anyone can ignore these.

Also, you can let him know that cult expert Rick Ross of the Cult Institute (Rick has appeared on the Dr. Phil show, among others) has determined that IWWB is "a classic cult."
