Mitch Kuhn's "Trying The Spirits" Vanishes

Mike Vinson's former right-hand man Mitch Kuhn seems to have had his website do a vanishing trick. Trying the Spirits or as I used to call it Thirstier Typings (an anagram of the website name) seems to have disappeared into digital Siberia.

Trying the Spirits was home to some of Mitch's cockiest fallacies including the teaching on wages, that an elder could be bachelor (in contradiction to scripture...) and that there were no books of the bible written by anyone who fell away from the faith. The last point was later redacted (naturally, without due acknowledgement) after Mitch happened to view a video I did on the topic where it was pointed out King Solomon fell away from the faith but yet, is credited with three books of the bible --

The latter doctrine was used as justification for scrubbing (i.e. memory holing) former members teachings from the IWWB websites. In other words, someone who had been held up as a teacher and who had their writings published on the IWWB website, but who was then disfellowshipped (for whatever reason) had all of their writings disappeared. When this issue was raised by astute observers, Mitch used the above teaching as a benchmark for he and Mike's despicable cultish behavior.

But as highlighted in the above video, the entire argument shits the bed when applied to King Solomon.

Oh dear.

The whole episode demonstrated poor Mitch really had no clue what he was on about. The reality of the situation is that he was Mike's apprentice hatchet man and cult-leader in waiting. And moreover, that he was clearly making it up on the fly but yet, hoping you wouldn't be smart enough to notice.

Further, Mitch's fellowship offshoot (after he was booted from IWWB) called Godly Love also seems to be on its last legs with little to no activity happening. In fact, Mitch hasn't authored a post there since March 2020, over a year ago at this point.

This all begs the question -- what the hell happened? For someone who bleated loud and long about how he had the "one mind of Christ" and further, who saw no issue with declaring those who had left father Mike and IWWB as dogs, swine and lepers, it seems the joke is now on brother Mitch.

It all serves to demonstrate that those with websites professing to teach "the truth" about wHat tHe wORd of gOD saYS are typically the most vainglorious bigots with an awful lot to learn. Or in simple terms, straight-up bible-thumping dickheads with their heads up their own ass.

If Mitch is a genuine Christian (which I don't believe for a second) we might be led to assume he has seen the error of his ways and as such, is moved to make up for his past indiscretions by repenting in sackcloth and ashes to all those he cut off and slandered while pimping for father Vinson.

Of course, such a notion assumes too much. Maybe Mitch just forgot to pay the hosting bill?

In closing, here's a YouTube playlist I did many years back. It features some of Mitch's most brazen teachings. As the saying goes, the internet is forever :)
